BLOGMAS Day 7: Christmas Kitchen...

If you're hosting Christmas this year, keep calm and stay festive with these Christmas themed kitchen accessories...

1 - I'm a sucker for novelty items and if Christmas isn't the best time to use such items, I don't know when is! I love this Ceramic Chimney Santa Salt & Pepper Set. There are lots of Santa, snowman and reindeer salt and pepper pots about but I think this is a little bit different and amusing. It'll add a touch of fun and a focus point to any Christmas table and best of all it won't break the bank. You can get this from Amazon for £5.95.

2 - If you're the one cooking all of the Christmas dinner this year, this fancy Lolita Christmas Elf Shoes Wine Glass is sure to get you through. At Christmas, cooking the dinner and having a glass of something nice, isn't out of the ordinary. I love a mulled wine or cider! I think the elf shoe design of this glass is really girly and sweet and I love the little jewels that go around the bottom of the glass. I'd be using this all Christmas! You can get it for £18.00 from John Lewis.

3 - I'd be so happy wearing this retro 50's style Santa's Little Helper Apron, whilst cooking Christmas dinner. It's handmade and one size fits most. It's also durable and made to last for years, using 100% cotton fabric. It features a roomy pocket on the right side and ties that are adjustable to fit your size. It is made with a solid green fabric with red, ric rac detail and a white, lace trim, heart shaped bib. It also has a red waist band to set it off and the cute underskirt is red and white striped. I don't think I'd want to take this off to be honest, ha ha! You can get this from Etsy for £18.68.

4 - This 'Keep Calm, It's Only Christmas' Oven Glove is sure to remind you to keep calm when time is getting on and you might be getting a bit hot and bothered in the kitchen this Christmas. This is great for yourself or as a gift, maybe you know someone who has a lot of people to cater for. You might not be there to help personally but you can give them this helping hand :). This phrase is used for most situations these days, but I think it's a good one for Christmas as some people can get so stressed out, even more so if they have a lot of people to cook for who are expecting great things. This is £8.95 from Gifts For The Present.

5 - If you are having a little buffet during Christmas, this Christmas Tree Shape Serving Board will look fab holding little canapés or nibbles. It will add a bit of festivity to your buffet, rather than just using your normal, every day bowls and plates. It's only £10 from Tesco, so you could even get a couple. It is made from a sturdy beech wood, so will be hard wearing and of a good quality. You could even use it as a chopping board over Christmas.

6 - I love having Christmas themed items that I can use every day over the festive season and if you love hot drinks, these Christmas Stacking Mugs would be perfect. You could even have your mulled wine or cider in these! Each mug contains a different clothing item to complete a Christmas outfit, so you have a hat, a jumper, trousers and socks. They come in a nice stand so will look lovely out on the work surface, maybe by the kettle if you have the space. Otherwise, you can keep them all stacked together in a cupboard. They are £12 from Next.

7 - This is quite a pricey item, but I had to include it as I've never seen anything like it whilst out and about shopping before. If you are a teapot collector, this Christmas Aga Teapot will be fab for you, it's so unique! The teapot sets the scene of a stove top at Christmas, so it features a turkey, a Santa hat, a Christmas pudding and more! I just love how different it is. This would make a great gift or a special treat for yourself, especially if you are a collector. If you prefer your tea over alcoholic drinks, then you could have this out all Christmas and really make the most of it before you put it away for next year :). This is £79.50 from The Teapottery.
